The 2009 junior season commences

Subscriptions can be paid on this evening.  Committee Members will be available on the first night to discuss any points parents may wish to discuss or clarify. 

The summer coaching programme runs April to July and is organised as follows:-

Junior Club   Fri April 24th – Fri July 17th 

(Please note no tennis Fri May 29th or June 26th)

Friday -   4.15 - 5.15pm   Girls Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6

              5.30 - 6.30pm   Boys Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6

              6.30 - 7.30pm   Mixed Y7, Y8

              7.30 onwards    Mixed Y9+          

Mini Tennis     Mon April 20th – Mon July 13th

(Please note no tennis Mon May 04 & 25, June 29)

Nursery/Reception      4.45 - 5.30      £2.00 pw *

Year1/Year2               5.30 - 6.30      £2.50 pw *

(*unless a fully paid junior member)

Saturday 

6pm Unsupervised playing evening for juniors.(See Junior Notice Board for organised events & tournaments)     

Refreshments

Soft drinks and crisps will be on sale at organised junior sessions.

Standard of Attire

Only recognised tennis clothing and tennis shoes will be allowed. (Astroturf football shoes, or trainers with pimples will not be allowed)

Football shirts, jeans, not allowed.

Individual coaching will be available on request subject to coach availability.

Junior County Closed Championship

To be held at Yarm -  August 24th – 29th   

(there will be a separate entry form)

AEGON National Junior Club League

Various teams - ages from 8&U to 16&U

Played March, April, May - Home & away fixtures

Cleveland League

Boys team 13U & 16U, Girls Team 13U & 16U

Matches Saturday or Sunday 10am or 2pm

Played between May & July – Home & away fixtures

The Road to Wimbledon 

14U Singles tournament for Girls/Boys (1995 or later) to be played April/May – 8 required to run the event (Enter by end of March)

Fun Doubles Tournament (boys/girls)

Saturday June 20th 

Mini Red - Born 2001 or later - 2.00pm – 3.30pm

Mini Orange - Born 2000        - 3.30pm – 5.30pm

Mini Green - Born 1999        - 3.30pm – 5.30pm

Entry fee Mini red £1.50 Mini Orange/Green £2  

Bigland Bowl – Born 1998 to 1992

Fun junior mixed doubles tourn –followed by BBQ

Saturday July 11th - 6pm – 9pm entry fee £3

(date may change depending on match fixtures - watch noticeboard)

Box Leagues see junior noticeboard - will be ongoing

Junior Club Championships will be held during the season, with Finals Day on Saturday Sept 12th, Sunday 13th if wet.  Closing date May 9th.

Presentation Evening & Buffet

Saturday 10th October 7pm.
